Adoption Information
What to Expect
We approach adoptions at the cat cafe using the same adoption screening process as Columbus Humane. Guests can complete an adoption application on any day; however, we only send cats home on Mondays or Tuesdays when the café is closed to other guests and we can focus our full attention on you and your new best friend. Once an adoption application is approved, we will schedule a pick up for the following Monday or Tuesday depending on your availability.
Our cats like to get up close and purr-sonal with their new family members, so all applications must be submitted in person; there are no exceptions.
More to Know
All cats residing at Eat Purr Love are adult cats (no younger than one year) and have come to us directly from our shelter on the west side of town. Your adoption fee of $75 gets you a healthy, vaccinated and spayed/neutered kitty complete with a registered microchip. Score!
We love ALL the kitties, but only cats from Columbus Humane are featured at our café. If you are looking to surrender your cat or stray, please reach out to Columbus Humane directly at 614-777-7387 to schedule an appointment.
When It’s GO-Time
Our kitties are used to traveling in style. That means all cats must go home in a cat carrier. Please plan to bring one with you at the time of pick-up, as we do not furnish carriers. All adoption fees and donations are collected at the time of pick up and can be made by cash or credit card (please note that checks are not accepted).
